Rodrigo Azócar

Bachelor of Legal and Social Sciences from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile’s Law School (2011). Bachelor on Social Sciences from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (YEAR). Master’s in Labor Law and Social Security from Universidad de Talca and Universidad de Valencia (Spain) (2019). Currently he is studying a Master in Companies Administration (MBA) at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2019-).

His practice is focused in advising companies in labor and social security matters. He has developed his professional career as a litigator and advisor for companies, workers and syndicates.

He initiated his career as a member of the litigation team and as a consultant and business advisor in Philippi, Yrarrazaval, Pulido & Brunner Abogados (currently Philippi Prietocarrizosa & Uría) (2013-2014) and later joined as the head lawyer of the labor area of the Law Clinic of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile’s Law School (2014-2018), currently being the Director of the Department of Practice and Legal Assistance (2018-). He has been an external consultant to the International Labor Organization and a member of the Labor Commission of the National Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism of Chile. He has been a permanent Consultant for Parraguez y Marín since 2017.

In the academic field, he his Professor at the Department of Labor Law and Social Security and at the Law Clinic, both at the Law School of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He is a professor and rapporteur of different undergraduate and graduate courses, workshops and programs of said University and other entities. He is the author of publications and exhibitor at national and foreign seminars, congresses and meetings.
