Associate
Santiago focuses his professional practice on litigation and complex negotiations.
He has experience in arbitration, civil, criminal, and labour litigation, representing companies and individuals.
Likewise, he has experience in contract negotiation processes between companies and in collective negotiations with labour unions.
He has a Postgraduate Diploma in Negotiation and Mediation (2023), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Oral Litigation (2022), both completed at the University of Chile.
He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Legal and Social Sciences from the Faculty of Law of the University of Chile, with distinction.
In that same university, he wrote his undergraduate thesis within the framework of the Fondecyt Program N°1200176, directed by Professor Cristián Banfi del Río (2022), analyzing the behavior of the Supreme Court in cassation rulings on matters of damages from lost profit.
In 2019, he completed an academic exchange at Utrecht University in the Netherlands.
He was Ad Honorem Assistant of the Civil Law class under Professor Cristián Banfi del Río (2019-2023), and Ad Honorem Assistant of the Criminal Law class under Professor Gabriel Zaliasnik Schilkrut (2018-2020).
During his academic studies, he completed various internships in law firms dedicated to complex litigation and corporate counsel.
He speaks Spanish and English.
